The paper examines the electoral systems of Iran, Latvia and Lithuania - states that differ in forms of state structure, political and legal traditions. It discusses in the most detail the trends in the development of electoral legislation, issues of ensuring the electoral rights of citizens, nominating candidates, financing elections, and the procedure for holding elections. The work continues a series of studies of modern election systems.
