The artistic and pedagogical experience accumulated by previous generations of jazz musicians and jazzmen working today is summarized. The work focuses mainly on the achievements of the modern jazz mainstream, that is, it introduces students into the circle of concepts, standards, stylistics that modern jazz musicians of different countries use and "communicate" with each other.
