The monograph in relation to the Russian language gives in the author's interpretation a characteristic of linguoecology - an interdisciplinary direction of scientific research of the language in terms of negative and positive factors of its existence and development. The tasks of linguoecology, its subject area, the most significant problems and terminological apparatus are outlined.
