The book attempts to reveal the modern concept - "military doctrine" and show a change in doctrine depending on the development of technology and to some extent the impact of public opinion. At the same time, the author examines the views of military theorists of the past (Clausewitz, Jomini) and their influence on such US military theorists as Mahan, Schofield, Ruth, Wilkinson, Mitchell and others. The main focus of the author of the book is the origin and development of the so-called aviation doctrine; he claims that in a future war, aviation will play a decisive role.
