The Dictionary is the first European language encyclopedic reference publication in sinological practice dedicated to Chinese (Han) thought. Its differences from similar reference books in Chinese are determined primarily by three interconnected factors by the addressee of the dictionary, the historical and cultural approach to the presentation of material, most of which, for the first time in Russian science, is introduced into reference and encyclopedic circulation by the concept of the specifics of traditional Chinese philosophy and socio-political thought.
