The book is dedicated to one of the most important periods in the history of the Bashkir Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic. It, on the basis of rich archival, as well as published documentary sources, reveals the activities of party and state bodies for the restructuring of social and political life at the beginning of the Great Patriotic War, the mobilization of forces and means to repulse the enemy; shows the heroic struggle of the workers to strengthen the Soviet rear, their contribution to the victory.
