It turns out that positions in a variety of games can be compared with peculiar numbers that assess the position of players. Emergent "surreal numbers" include all real numbers (but not only). The brochure describes how the emerging theory helps analyze them, hackenbush and other games. The brochure is based on lectures given by the author at the Modern Mathematics summer school in Dubna in July 2009. It is available to high school students.
