The textbook highlights from a modern perspective the theoretical and practical aspects of medical tactics of critical conditions in the intensive care unit. The most common acute conditions were characterized - respiratory and heart failure, shocks, disorders of water-electrolyte and acid-base conditions, coma, pain syndromes, methods of support and correction, parenteral nutrition were considered.
