The poetry of Greek genius must never have manifested itself more vividly than in the myth of the Amazons. She gave the charm of this amazing story, which brought very abundant results. Unfortunately, the narrow scope of poetry made it somewhat difficult to perceive its extremely interesting psychological aspect. And yet, for us, the main significance of this myth lies primarily in the fact that it sheds light on the mentality of ancient peoples, on the attitude of man to phenomena that are dangerous for him and mysterious.
