In the first chapter, the author examines the most influential concepts of myth, from the interpretations of the old natural mythological school to the delights of representatives of the "ritual theory of myth" (polemics with the latter go through the entire book of Steblin-Kamensky). In subsequent chapters, the myth is considered in correlation with ideas about space and time and in a personal context. The main material of the study was Eddic myths.
