The book is devoted to a comprehensive study of the history of the Uniate Church on the territory of Right-Bank Ukraine during its entry into the Russian Empire. On the basis of rich archival material, the organizational structure of the Church and its changes depending on the church-religious courses of the Russian emperors are considered. Much more attention is paid to the internal position of the Church, in particular, the educational, intellectual and pastoral activities of the Uniate clergy are analyzed in detail. A separate section examines the complex issue of religious culture and popular religious consciousness of the Uniates, which had a significant impact on the formation of population identification.
