The theoretical foundations of computer science and information search, which underlie the creation and functioning of information complexes of various types and purposes, are presented. Features of the development of automated information systems as the first stage of automated management systems of enterprises and organizations, features of documentary and documentary-factographic information retrieval systems of scientific and technical information are considered; structure and principles of functioning of automated systems of normative and methodological support of enterprise management.
