"Camp Diary" is the second book of memoirs dedicated to the years of imprisonment. After the war, most of the Soviet soldiers who were captured were repressed. L.A. did not pass this fate either. After returning from captivity, he lived in continuous anticipation of arrest. He was arrested four years later - in 1950. At first, the almost one-year investigation procedure on Lubyanka continued with all the bullying of the Soviet investigative system: exhausting night interrogations, ridiculous accusations, demands for confession to crimes that did not exist. As a result, the sentence is 25 years in prison. After that months-long nightmare, L.A. embraced being sent to camp in relief.
