Prominent Armenian statesman of the 13th century, commander and historian Smbat Sparapet left a number of valuable works that have not yet become the subject of comprehensive study. Smbat Sparapet's literary legacy is multifaceted. One of his main works is the Chronicle, which is an important historical monument of Armenian literature of the 13th century.
