The first book of selected works of academician Nikolai Mikhailovich Druzhinin includes his main works on the history of the Decembrist movement, which have become a bibliographic rarity. This is the monograph "The Decembrist Nikita Muravyov," articles "On the History of the Ideological Searches of P. I. Pestel," "The Chernyshev Family and the Decembrist Movement," "S. P. Trubetskoy as a Memoirist" and the publication "Records of Prince. S. P. Trubetskoy (From the Yakushkin archive), "article "I. D. Yakushkin and his Lancaster school." According to a later period, the book included the article "A. Haxthausen and the Russian Revolutionary Democrats" and a popular essay about A. V. Yakimova (Kobozeva), a member of the revolutionary populist movement.
