Criminalistics (from lat. Crimen - crime, criminalis - criminal) - a field of specific scientific knowledge about criminal activity and its antipode - activities to identify, solve and investigate crimes, to establish the truth in the process of legal proceedings. Identifying the patterns of these types of activities, on the basis of their knowledge, criminalistics develops means and methods of combating crime, solving issues requiring special knowledge in civil, arbitration and other cases in the proceedings of law enforcement agencies.
