Basic concepts, classification, requirements and methods of calculation of general-purpose power supply systems are considered. Particular attention is paid to the problems of electric power quality, compensation of reactive power flows and reliability of power supply. Various methods are considered to make a feasibility study when making decisions in conditions of market relations.
