Bao'an language is one of the languages of the Mongolian group, common among the Bao'an (and partially Mongolian) population in the People's Republic of China. Mongols who speak the Baoan language, as well as those who speak the Mongolian and Dongxiang languages, apparently, back in the XIII-XIV centuries. broke away from the rest of the Mongols and subsequently did not have any permanent and significant ties with them. Standing out from the bulk of the Mongolian population and taking shape as independent peoples of the Mongolian group, the Bao'an, Mongors and Dunsyans also secured special ethnic names formed from the places in which they lived for a long time. But even between the Dongsyans, Mongors and Bao'an, according to all sources, there was no living mutual communication. This, apparently, was hindered by their transition from nomadic to settled life, as well as their lack of writing and a foreign-language environment.
