The procedure for performing an enlarged calculation of boiler units of thermal power plants is considered in detail. Technical characteristics and brief description of modern powerful steam and steel hot water boilers are given. Attention is paid to the issue of choosing draft machines for the boiler. Recommendations are given for choosing a fan, smoke exhaust and electric motors for them.
