In publications devoted to the work of intelligence, a considerable place in the Western book market is occupied by publications of authors who are or were related to the activities of the secret services. This includes various kinds of memories or processed stories, and sometimes research by intelligence and counterintelligence officers, such as "The Art of Intelligence" by A. Dulles, "Memories" by Hitler intelligence officer V. Schellenberg, "Operation Cicero" by L. Moisisisch, "Secret Missions" by E. Zacharias, "The Man Who Was Not" by I. Montague. As a rule, publications of this kind are either directly inspired by imperialist intelligence, or receive their approval.
