The book highlights the general patterns of processes developing in the body during dying and in the recovery period after recovery. Issues of impaired respiratory function, cardiovascular, central nervous and endocrine systems, liver function, kidney function, etc. were considered. Principles of treatment of terminal conditions caused by various causes are described. The concept of a new nosological unit - post-resuscitation disease - has been substantiated. Particular attention is paid to the forecast of the restoration of body functions and the diagnosis of "brain death."
