Writer and publicist, prominent figure of the Russian diaspora Roman Borisovich Gul (1896-1986) gave his book an original and at the same time very apt name: "Odvukon." Why the book got this name, he explained in the Preface, using Dahl's famous explanatory dictionary: "To ride a two-horse or a double-horse, riding, with a henchman or a spare horse...."
