The geology of deposits of ferrous, non-ferrous, noble, radioactive, small, rare metals and dispersed elements is considered. For each metal, the geological conditions of formation are described, genetic groups, classes, ore formations and industrial types of deposits are characterized. When describing the most typical deposits of the USSR and foreign countries in the second edition (1st ed. - 1975) the latest materials are given.
