Mariupol is a city of incredible events and amazing fate. Four hundred years ago, here, on the site of modern Mariupol, was the main outpost of the Cossacks - Domakha, the center of the Kalmius Palanka. Cossacks until 1768 defended the Azov region from the Tatars, at the same time saving the entire territory of present-day Ukraine from ruin.
