The publication includes a painting of the memories of three Novgorod synodics: the Lisitsky monastery of the late XIV - last quarter of the XV century. and two synodics of St. Sophia Cathedral of the XVI - the first half of the XVII century. An analysis of their content revealed several stages in the development of the synodic form and memorial practice, the design of lithium commemoration. Three more synodics of St. Sophia Cathedral of the second third of the XVII - beginning of the XIX century. gives a general characteristic.
