There is an old Eastern legend about alcohol. One Arab alchemist, this legend tells, worked tirelessly to find the philosopher's stone. He gave all his thought, abandoned his wife and children and settled in a laboratory located far from the living quarters, at the end of the garden. Every day his wife brought him food, he quickly ate the small amount necessary to maintain his existence, and again plunged into work.
