The purpose of this publication is to consider the iconography of A.S. Pushkin in graphics, painting and sculpture from the first children's portrait of the early 19th century to images of the 1970s; analyze works of art so different in character and style; identify the patterns of transformation of the image of Pushkin in the presentation of artists for a century and a half; to trace how each new generation of artists saw, looked for and found "their Pushkin." Among the artists who addressed the image of Pushkin were Kiprensky and Tropinin, Aivazovsky and Repin, Serov and Ge, Ulyanov and Konchalovsky, Petrov-Vodkin and Plastov, Anikushin and Belasheva, Goryaev and many others.
