The collective monograph is devoted to the study of Helmsman's books, which are collections of church canons, legal monuments, as well as polemical and educational texts. Based on a comprehensive study of the sources, an overview of the manuscript tradition of Feed books in Russia, their existence and connection with church departments and monasteries is given. Particular attention is paid to new editions that arose in the XV-XVII centuries. and their distribution until the appearance of the first printed edition of Kormchi.
