N. Bailey's book consists of two parts. The first part is devoted to the methodology of applying various branches of mathematics in experimental research, as well as the question of teaching mathematics to biologists and the organization of research in mathematical biology. In the second part, a mathematical analysis of specific biological and medical problems is carried out.
