The textbook contains basic information on the history of gerontology and the periodization of aging, external manifestations and signs of aging of the leading physiological systems of the body are considered. Particular attention is paid to the problem of the norm of aging, the phenomenon of longevity, ways and methods of prolonging active longevity.
