Problems of joint oscillations and radiation of elastic shells and plates in contact with acoustic medium are considered. A new method for solving such problems is consistently presented, developing the concepts of attached mass and singling out features (when exciting shells with concentrated loads). Phenomena with hydroelastic oscillations of closed convex shells and limited plates, previously unknown or poorly covered in the literature, are identified and analyzed.
