The book is a collection that includes three sections: doctors and diseases, healing springs and baths, as well as (in addition) a poem about stones. The example of small poetic works of Greek and Latin poets (mainly elegy and epigram) tells about doctors, the most common diseases, the healing properties of sources and waters, the hygienic significance of baths, as well as the widespread use of minerals in medicine of antiquity and the Middle Ages.
