The theory of corrosion and protection of metals in electrolytes, atmosphere, vapors and gases at high temperatures is presented. A significant place is given to the description of the corrosion resistance of alloys based on iron, copper, aluminum, nickel and new metallurgical structural materials for chemical equipment - titanium, zirconium, tantalum. Methods of corrosion protection by environmental treatment, current application and coatings are considered.
