The richly illustrated book-album, which includes more than 600 photographs, presents in vivid form the life and career of the outstanding Russian writer Valentin Savvich Pikul (1928-1990). According to the author of the book, the widow of the writer Antonina Ilyinichna Pikul, "this is the first attempt to recreate a vivid image of the writer in accordance with his work... an invitation to think about a far from known block, whose name is VALENTIN SAVVICH PIKUL."
