The manual is devoted to the peculiarities of the course of cardiovascular diseases: arterial hypertension, cardiomyopathy, coronary artery disease, heart failure in women in the climacteric period. Based on the literature, the issues of developmental mechanisms, clinical course, therapeutic measures, taking into account hormonal and metabolic shifts that occur in postmenopause, are summarized. An important place in the manual is occupied by the issues of diagnosis of arterial hypertension, coronary heart disease, heart failure in women in comparison with men.
