The monograph of the French scientist is devoted to the theory of averaging partial differential equations, which is used to describe phenomena in sharply heterogeneous media, in particular in composite materials. In the book, along with theoretical questions, important specific problems are considered: averaging in the problems of the theory of elasticity and hydrodynamics, in perforated media.
