Battle of Stalingrad 1942-1943 became a frontier that divided the history of architecture of our country into pre-war and post-war. And if we know a lot about post-war buildings, about architects and designers, then the pre-war, but destroyed Stalingrad remained only in rare newsreels and in a few photographs, and information about pre-war architects is practically absent. Most of the archives were destroyed by a terrible bombing on August 23, 1942.
