a book about battleships of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. For more than two decades, from the 1890s until the end of World War I, this country independently built battleships and battleships of its own design. The Austro-Hungarian fleet created its own, original type of relatively small battleship perfectly adapted for operations on the Adriatic and in the Mediterranean Sea. Severe budget restrictions forced the designers to create ships with a minimum displacement and cost, but at the same time they were very well booked and armed.
