The book outlines the basics of tactical intelligence, the procedure for the commander and headquarters to organize intelligence, the main methods of action of units (groups) of tactical intelligence, the procedure for collecting and processing intelligence information by the headquarters, information, and also gives recommendations and methodological advice on training commanders of units organization and intelligence in various ways. The main provisions are confirmed by examples from the experience of reconnaissance during the Great Patriotic War and exercises conducted in the post-war period.
