Wooden mosaics and wood carvings, their types, materials and tools for performing these works are described. The technique of performing plot and ornamental drawings in mosaics, the technology of gluing sets to the base, decorating mosaics are described; geometrical, contour and relief threads, finishing of carved items. Drawings of mosaic sets and threads for independent execution are given. Making mosaic sets for decorating furniture or interiors requires the master performer to know the types of wood, the features of their physical, mechanical and decorative properties, artistic taste, mastery of the technical methods of making the sets. The master must be able to choose the right material for the mosaic, change its color if necessary, accurately and accurately make the set, stick it to the base and finish it. When performing carved decor, knowledge of the material, thread techniques, and finishing technology of threaded products is also required. The purpose of the present book is to help the future art furniture joiner master the ancient and ever-young art of wood mosaic and wood carving.
