The aesthetics of the French poet P. Valerie, with her cult of reason, clear creative self-awareness, with her criticism of mystical anarchism in art, is opposed to the spirit of "modernity" to which Valerie was hostile all his life. The collection provides insight into Valerie as an art theorist and as an art critic. The collection includes Valerie's central theoretical works. The book is preceded by an introductory article, which gives a critical analysis of the aesthetic views of the poet.
