The book includes Siberian historical stories, the so-called Siberian annals, created in the XVI-XVII centuries, mainly in Siberia. They are dedicated to an important, all-Russian event - the campaign of the Cossack squad Yermak in Siberia. On the one hand, the annals took shape in most cases in the folk environment or bore a bright imprint of the folk version of this event. On the other hand, created by talented Old Russian scribes, Siberian annals are precious monuments of traditional literature.
