The short statistical collection contains data on the economic and social development of the USSR for 1987, as well as comparisons with 1940, 1980, 1985, 1986 and other years. It contains some information characterizing the development of the economy and culture of other socialist countries. For a number of indicators, a comparison with capitalist countries is given.
