The venous system as part of the general circulation has been studied quite fully and in detail in recent decades. If the morphological side of this department was previously covered by analogy with the arterial system and, according to the long-established opinion, it was believed that the anatomical structure of the venous system is similar to the arterial one, now, based on the accumulated data, we are convinced of the inconsistency of this opinion.
