Constellations are "groups of stars," areas into which the celestial sphere is divided for ease of orientation in the starry sky. Our distant ancestors considered the stars motionless. Indeed, despite the fact that the entire picture of the starry sky continuously rotates (reflecting the rotation of the Earth), the relative position of the stars on it remains unchanged for centuries.
