The book is the first dictionary in Russian lexicography of the oldest written attested period of the Greek language. The entire vocabulary of the Cretan-Mycenaean writing language "B" is collected, grouped by thematic headings; each word is shown in a textual environment; contains an interpretation of the realities of Cretan-Mycenaean civilization. The body of the dictionary includes an index of Cretan-Mycenaean forms.
