The book is the first monographic study of the traditional costume of Bukhara Jews - one of the Jewish ethnic groups that formed in the ethnocultural space of Central Asia. As a result of the centuries-old residence of Bukhara Jews among Tajiks and Uzbeks, this costume visually became almost indistinguishable from the costume of the surrounding population, which is why it was considered by ethnographers completely borrowed until recently was not the object of a separate study.
