The book is dedicated to the history of the western Mediterranean in the 7th - 4th centuries. BC e., one of the most difficult and low-lit problems in historical science. The Etruscans, Italian and Sicilian Greeks and Phoenicians of Carthage at that time were the main nationalities that determined the life of the entire region. On a large archaeological material, on the material of inscriptions and ancient literary sources, the author recreates the history of the development of culture, economy, craft, political and cultural ties of this period. Thus, another gap in our historical knowledge of the prehistory of modern Italy is being filled.
