The botanical name flax in Latin means "most useful." Yesh, Hippocrates, Avicenna and Dioscorides wrote about its healing properties, but in the era of scientific and technological progress they were simply forgotten. And only in recent decades, when people began to realize the need to lead a healthy lifestyle, Western scientists began to actively explore the possibilities of linseed oil and seed. Their Russian colleagues' generalized foreign experience and came to the conclusion that modern people simply need to include them in their diet, since the properties of flax are truly unique.
