These ships and vessels turned out to be the largest series in their class, built in the entire history of the domestic fleet. Initially, the "ninety-seventh" were created to serve the freezing ports of various seas. However, patrol icebreakers, border patrol ships, hydrographic and research vessels were subsequently created on their basis.
